Student Workshop & Creative Conversation with How the Word Is Passed and NYU Reads In-Person

Join us for an immersive arts-based workshop based on Clint Smith’s How the Word Is Passed: A Reckoning with the History of Slavery across America, the NYU Reads selection for 2023-24. This hour-long session will review the related library research guide and use collage-building techniques to engage with the book's themes—including community, language, land, and resilience—in relation to the history and legacies of slavery in the U.S. Bring your creative side and join us in community as we explore the arts and NYU Reads' How the Word Is Passed!

This session will be held in-person on the 7th floor of Bobst Library, room 743.  Art supplies will be provided.
