Who Is Cited, And Who Isn't: The Gender Citation Gap Online
Research metrics like Journal Impact Factor, h-index, and others are commonly used to communicate the importance of researchers and their work, without recognizing their inherent bias. This class will explore gender bias in these types of metrics, and discuss how to give scholarly credit more equitably. It will also cover alternative ways to capture and demonstrate research impact.
