Celebrate Earth Month!: All Levels Yoga and Meditation session In-Person
Yes, April 22nd is Earth Day, but why not celebrate for the whole month? Let’s practice for the planet! Join NYU Libraries for a 75 minute all level Yoga class where we will focus on grounding postures that connect us to the natural world and provide a sense of steadiness and calm. Come wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move and bend. Modifications will be offered to accommodate all bodies. We will then proceed to some breathwork and meditation, offering gratitude for the planet we all share. We finish up with some restful and restorative poses to leave you feeling rejuvenated for the rest of your day.
A limited number of yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Amy Coombs (Yoga Teacher E-RYT500) has been teaching Yoga in and around NYC since 2008 at the YogaWorks and Ishta studios, as well as many classes for NYU. Amy empowers students of all ages and all abilities to find the appropriate level of effort. Amy believes a Yoga practice not only offers an immediate feeling of well-being, but also provides tools to navigate life’s challenges with grace long after having left the mat.
