Intro to Peer Review for the Humanities | Let's Get Critical Series In-Person

Peer review, the process by which experts in an academic field evaluate and recommend revisions to scholarly work prior to publication, is an essential part of academic writing and publishing. This session will explore the peer review process in the humanities, providing an overview of the peer review process, suggestions for responding to reviewer comments, and tips for how to be a good peer reviewer.

By the end of this session, you will understand the basic steps in the peer review process:

-How peer review works

-How to respond to peer review

-How to write a peer review

This workshop is part of a series titled “Let's Get Critical: Core Research Skills in the Humanities” which focuses on relevant research skills and topics for humanities researchers. Other opportunities include Reading Citations, Mapping the Field and Crash Course in Chicago Style, which you can also register for in LibCal. 

This session will be HYBRID | In-person in Room 745 and via Zoom.  The Zoom link will be emailed to registrants the day before the event.
