[CANCELLED] Mindfulness Moment Meditation In-Person
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves — slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future - Thich Nhat Hanh
When you are drinking a cup of tea, you are not drinking the projects you have to finish up or the upcoming exams you have to study for, you are allowing things to slow down and embracing the present moment. Join us for a 30 minute meditation where we will engage our senses and focus on the experience of drinking a cup of tea in community. Learn techniques that will help you to center yourself to stay focused and grounded as you navigate through the end of the semester.
In the spirit of sustainability, participants are encouraged to bring a reusable cup or mug. Tea, hot water and eco-friendly cups will be provided. If tea is not your beverage of choice, you are welcome to bring your preferred hot or cold beverage to meditate on.
These sessions are part of an ongoing series of community meditations that will happen throughout the semester. Please check the Library Events calendar for our upcoming sessions.
As a part of NYU's commitment to global inclusion, our events and initiatives are open to individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
