Mindfulness Moment Meditation In-Person
“Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.” – Amit Ray
Engaging with the natural world, touching, smelling and being in community with plants calms and restores our mind and spirit, but we don’t always have the time or access to be out in nature - especially towards the end of the semester! Houseplants bring nature inside and focusing on plants can provide a sense of calm and allow us to focus on the present moment. Join us for a 30 minute meditation where we will engage our senses using a plant as our focus as we offer gratitude to the natural world.
A limited number of plants will be provided for the meditation. Registered attendees will be given priority.
These sessions are part of an ongoing series of community meditations that will happen throughout the semester. Please check the Library Events calendar for our upcoming sessions.
As a part of NYU's commitment to global inclusion, our events and initiatives are open to individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
