Researching Local History Online

This is part of the Demystifying Primary Sources workshop series at NYU Libraries. Browse more workshops in this series via our events calendar.

This workshop will introduce resources for conducting local history research, with a focus on New York City. We will discuss the different types of materials that can support your local history projects, demo search strategies for NYC landmarks, and explore external resources such as the NYPL's collections. Even if your research takes you to other localities, you will walk away with a set of strategies to explore local history questions with curiosity and confidence.

NYU Libraries is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. If you have an accommodations request, please email lib-reference@nyu.edu.
