Exploring and Visiting Archives and Special Collections Beyond NYU Online

Have you wanted to visit external archives and special collections but weren't sure where to start? This workshop will orient you to search tools and strategies to help you confidently explore archives and special collections. Beyond locating relevant collections and navigating a successful remote reference interview, we will discuss how to read and understand online finding aids and archival material.

In this session, you will:

1. Learn how to find and reach out to archival repositories beyond your home institution

2. Strategize how to formulate a research agenda

3. Activate a network of information professionals/communities in your research projects

NYU Libraries is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. If you have an accommodations request, please email lib-reference@nyu.edu. Additionally, masks are always welcome on NYU's campuses and facilities.
