EcStatic Magic: Making Static Sites for DH Projects In-Person
This creative workshop invites students and faculty to experience the magic of static site generation through an examination of the benefits of static sites and hands-on experience with tools for making static projects.
Have you ever wanted more information about Collection Builder, Wax, Jekyll themes, or free hosting with GitHub Pages? Are you curious about the kinds of code that make up a website from behind the scenes? This workshop provides in-person, hands-on time to explore options for your next project.
We encourage participants to bring their own computers and collections (files, images, items). Laptops can be borrowed from Circulation (laptop loans). No prior experience necessary.
