Getting Started with Industry Research Online

This event is part of the Global Business & Economics Data Workshop Series, a 17-part series offered online across NYU's three global sites from September 22-26th. See below for important details on preparation for each session and a breakdown of the times that this event will occur at NYU's global sites.

Description:
New to industry research? This interactive workshop is designed for beginners eager to explore industry information. Through scenario-based learning, you’ll take on real-world challenges, like identifying investment opportunities in a specific industry in a global context. Along the way, you’ll learn the value of industry reports, both in terms of their retail cost and their role in supporting business decisions. You’ll gain hands-on experience using key library databases such as IBISWorld, Statista, and BCC Research to find and interpret credible industry reports, as well as format the correct citations in APA style. No prior research experience is needed. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to confidently locate, understand, and apply industry information for assignments, presentations, and career planning.
