Getting Started with Economics Data Online
Description: This session provides an overview of core economic data sources available through NYU Libraries, with a focus on both macroeconomic indicators (e.g., GDP, inflation, unemployment, interest rates) and microeconomic data (e.g., firm-level datasets, household surveys, consumer behavior). Participants will be introduced to key concepts related to data structure and usage, including time series, cross-sectional, and panel data formats. The session emphasizes how to navigate and access these data types through NYU’s licensed collections and research tools.
