Human Responsibility in the Age of AI: FORC Keynote with Kasia Chmielinski In-Person

The keynote is open to anyone at NYU

Please join us for this year’s FORC Keynote, featuring speaker Kasia Chmielinski (they/them). Kasia is a Senior Advisor on Data & AI at the United Nations and the Executive Director of the Data Nutrition Project, an initiative that builds tools to mitigate bias in artificial intelligence. They began their career as a product manager building software and AI tools at organizations such as Google, the MIT Media Lab, the US Digital Service (now DOGE) and McKinsey & Company. Kasia is also currently an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University.

The Keynote is our public celebration of the 2025 Foundations of Research Computing (FORC) Camp, a three day data skills immersion program offered to graduate students to give participants a thorough grounding in the digital skills essential for their research. We're so pleased to welcome our speaker to give their perspective on the many ways these kinds of skills translate into academic and professional work.

The event is free.

As a part of NYU's commitment to global inclusion, our events and initiatives are open to individuals of all backgrounds and identities.
