Introduction to RefWorks: Organizing Your Research Online

RefWorks is an online tool for capturing references when searching catalogs, databases, Google Scholar, etc. This workshop aims to equip you with the skills to effectively manage and use RefWorks to support your research and writing.

In this session you will:

  • Learn how to build your own database of research materials by importing and organizing references
  • Understand the benefits of using a citation management system to support your research
  • Discover how to create and format bibliographies and in-text citations according to a selected citation style (MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.) in RefWorks
  • Learn how to collaborate with others and share citations and resources across projects

NYU Libraries is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. If you have an accommodations request, please email lib-reference@nyu.edu. Additionally, masks are always welcome on NYU's campuses and facilities.
