Creating Accessible Documents and Presentations Online

In this workshop you will learn how to create word processing documents that are accessible to those utilizing screen readers, and how to make presentation slides that are accessible to a wide variety of users. We will also discuss general accessibility best practices and strategies to ensure that accessibiltity is built in from the beginning. Presentation slides and any other workshop handouts will be sent to registered participants in advance.

After this session: 

1. Participants will be able to run an accessibility checker in MS Word or Powerpoint in order to make any necessary accessibility edits to their documents.

2. Participants will be able to compose concise alt text for images in their documents and presentations.
