2025 Commerford Labor Education Award Ceremony In-Person
Celebrate the 2025 John Commerford Labor Education Awards with NYU Tamiment Library and the New York Labor History Association
The New York Labor History Association founded the John Commerford Labor Education Award in 1987. Each year two honorees are celebrated for their contributions to workers’ empowerment. Details about this year’s award will be announced closer to the event date.
The New York Labor History Association was founded in 1976 by trade unionists, academics, students, archivists, educators, labor editors, attorneys, and retirees, mostly from New York State. NYLHA encourages the study of workers and their organizations and serves as a bridge between past and present labor unionists and academics.
