AI Essentials In-Person

Attendees of this workshop will be whisked through a 60-minute presentation that reviews the building blocks of artificial intelligence (AI), briefly touching on: the history of AI, how these technologies work, how AI systems affect our physical, social, political, legal, economic, and information landscape, and what this means in the context of academic research. The session aims to help participants make informed decisions and think critically about these technologies.

The presentation will be followed by a 30-minute discussion. This is an in-person only workshop and will not be recorded.
