Indigenous Data Sovereignty: "E Kore Au E Ngaro [The Connection Remains]" Film Screening and Conversation In-Person

Please join us for a screening of the short documentary "E Kore Au E Ngaro [The Connection Remains]" and a discussion about Indigenous data sovereignty with Prof. Jane Anderson (Law/Anthropology), founder of Local Contexts, and film director Andreas Burgess. Local Contexts is an organization dedicated to helping Indigenous communities repatriate knowledge and gain control over how data is collected, managed, displayed, accessed, and used in the future. Their research and advocacy has applications in a huge range of fields and disciplines, ranging from biodiversity to art history and beyond. This event is co-sponsored by the NYU School of Law Library, Local Contexts, and Center CIRCL.
