Text as Data in the Humanities (pilot)
An introduction to the text analysis for literature with basic introduction to software package Mallet. This workshop will cover a) gathering text corpus, b) copyright considerations c) data cleaning, d) an introduction to the computational software tool, Mallet, e) reading the output and analysis of topic modeling and cluster analysis, and f) a general overview of common questions asked in computational literary studies.
