DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a screening of the short documentary "E Kore 
 Au E Ngaro [The Connection Remains]" and a discussion about Indigenous data 
 sovereignty with Prof. Jane Anderson (Law/Anthropology)\, founder of Local 
 Contexts\, and film director Andreas Burgess. Local Contexts is an 
 organization dedicated to helping Indigenous communities repatriate 
 knowledge and gain control over how data is collected\, managed\, 
 displayed\, accessed\, and used in the future. Their research and advocacy 
 has applications in a huge range of fields and disciplines\, ranging from 
 biodiversity to art history and beyond. This event is co-sponsored by the 
 NYU School of Law Library\, Local Contexts\, and Center CIRCL.
